This project was done by a group of six. I was chosen to be the art director of the book because of my graphic design knowledge. The goal of this 104-page art-of-book is to document our process of designing this children's book. The concept of this book is to incorporate Chinese ink painting elements in the design as the story takes place in the Qing Dynasty. I simulated Ink painting textures in my layout and used ink-textured typographic styles to make the design cohesive. In this book, we designed and illustrated the plot of the story, character, prop, environment, and the layout.
